Hello, tattoo lovers! We are happy to announce that starting today, we are launching a new segment: Interview with an Artist. In these articles, you will have the opportunity to meet our team, find out how they got their start in the world of tattoos, and much more!
Let’s start with Jenna. She recently joined our crew and specializes in American Traditional tattoos. We had a small interview with Jenna and asked her to answer a few questions.
“The first tattoo I ever got was an upside-down smiley face on my hip. It’s still my favourite to this day since it started my tattooing journey”.
Jenna has many tattoos. Despite the smiley face on her hip, she also mentioned her second favourite tattoo, the Kali Goddess. This tattoo is on her arm.
“I’ve always loved art and creating beautiful pieces. In high school, I was told all the time that my art would look awesome as tattoos. This planted the seed in my brain. I continued to draw throughout my university years and get small tattoos, so I fell in love with the culture and community. I got my first apprenticeship in the summer of 2020, and although that opportunity didn’t work out, I knew I wanted to continue trying and working towards becoming a tattoo artist.”
“During my first apprenticeship in 2020, I worked with a beginner artist who had a few American Traditional tattoos. I couldn’t help but become captivated by the uniqueness of the style. This artist inspired me to look into American traditional, and I have been hooked ever since.”
Jenna thought long and hard and finally gave us the answer. Like so many people in the world, her guilty pleasure is eating anything and everything greasy. She knows and understands it’s a bad habit, but she can’t quit.
We hope that you enjoyed this article. Let us know your thoughts. If you want to book your dream tattoo with Jenna, please contact us, and we will be happy to help you!
